Getting Started

MASTER Cards
You must produce a MASTER CF card for each bank you intend to utilize. The MASTER cards can be identical if duplicating large quantities of a single card or each MASTER can contain unique data if duplicating cards for varying purposes at the same time. It is recommended that you produce the MASTER card in a standard CF card writer connected to a PC USB port. Once the first MASTER is created, you can use the CFCC to duplicate the desired MASTERs for the banks you intend to use for large scale duplication.
It is NOT possible to use the CFCC to make a MASTER from a file or other data source.

Duplication
The MASTER card of each bank becomes the data source for that bank. This applies to both COPY and VERIFY operations. The TARGET cards of each bank are duplicated sector-by-sector from that bank's MASTER card. The file system and data contained in the MASTER CARD will be duplicated EXACTLY in the TARGET cards. The CFCC uses the true-IDE Compact FLASH mode as defined by the Compact Flash Association Specifications. All CF cards must the true-IDE mode of operation to be CFA compliant.

Relative Card Capacities
Sector-by-sector duplication provides for hi-speed gang duplication without the need for separate formatting or erasure of the TARGET cards however the TARGET cards MUST CONTAIN AN EQUAL OR GREATER NUMBER OF AVAILABLE SECTORS THAN THE MASTER CARD. Most quality CF card manufacturers' cards have the same number of available sectors in every card of a given size but this may NOT be the case for lowere quality cards. For example, in some cases, the manufacturer will label a 256MB card with a few bad sectors as a 128MB card. Such a card will work as a TARGET card but NOT as a MASTER card since it contains more sectors than a typical 128MB card. One manufacturer's 128MB card may NOT have the same number of sectors as another manufacturer's 128MB card.
It is recommended that you use the same manufacturer's cards for both MASTER and TARGETs. A method is provided to check the relative sizes of the inserted cards if you have trouble or are unsure of the sectors in your cards. Refer to the MENU operation section on Capacities for details of how to do this.

CFCC Setup
Plug the cable from the AC adapter into the CFCC. Plug the power cord from the AC adapter into an AC outlet.
Refer to the COPY operation description to start duplicating cards.
